He said: “From the moment we qualified for the next round, the Premier League became more important than Champions League.
“This month we have to play seven games in the Premier League – that is the most important thing for us.
“We will not sacrifice the game because we know that we have to win 3-0 if we want to be first in the group.
“But I know what is more important. What is more important is Arsenal.”

He doesn’t think he’s the only one either, with Bayern boss Pep Guardiola also having to be economical with his selection.

Pellegrini added: “Bayern will have a mix of players as well. They have a lot of games and this month they have to play the FIFA World Championship.”
Joe Hart returns but the City boss refused to be discuss the implications of the keeper’s selection with regard to England.

He said: “Joe will start and obviously for him it is an important game. I am thinking about the future. But I trust him.”
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola laughed off suggestions he might have to fight off a big-money bid from City for Germany keeper Manuel Neuer.
Guardiola gave a curt “absolutely no chance” to the suggestion.
