Gary Neville identifies 'big problem' for Arsenal
Manchester United legend Gary Neville is worried for Arsenal heading to the Etihad at the weekend.
How much has Arsenal's defeat to Napoli taken out of them, and specifically Olivier Giroud?Despite qualification, SkySports pundit Gary Neville fears they will be running on empty heading to Manchester City at the weekend.
Olivier Giroud worked tirelessly against Napoli, winning five aerial duels and touching the ball more times than Mesut Ozil.
Former United man Neville is sceptical over Arsenal's chances at the Etihad however:
He said: "He's going to have to put in a big shift for them.
"I think its a big problem.
"They get back at 3, 4 in the morning. They will have 2, 3, 4 per cent drop in performance.
"I think City will be fresh, and have a fantastic home record."
Arsene Wenger can't do much about the Giroud situation at this point, as there is no chance he will start Nicklas Bendtner in such an important game,
The boss did however rotate his squad to an extent which could help Giroud out at the weekend.
Theo Walcott will be raring to go having sat this one out on the bench again, while Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey were both substitutes against Napoli. Lukas Podolski is back in training and could even make the bench against City.
We understand entirely the point Neville is making, but Wenger's team selection against Napoli gives the Gunners a chance against City.
Wilshere, Ramsey and Walcott can all get forward to support Giroud, and could just be the cavalry he needs to be effective.
Are you concerned or is Neville overhyping the 'problem'?
