Capello on Spurs hit-list, should Villas-Boas get the boot after £110m spending spree
Fabio Capello, the former England
manager, has been mentioned in discussions at Tottenham as a shock
candidate to take over if current boss Andre Villas-Boas is sacked.
Villas-Boas came under pressure after Sunday’s 6-0 thumping at Manchester City and Capello would be high on the list of chairman Daniel Levy’s possible successors.
Spurs’ bosses, who bankrolled a £110million summer spending spree by Villas-Boas, have been losing patience with him.
