City triggered a good day for favourite backers with a come-from-behind victory over Everton on Saturday, before United followed suit in the evening game.

Chelsea continued the trend on Sunday but a draw for Arsenal and defeat for Spurs meant it was the last three Premier League winning sides who were cut in the outright betting.

City still lead the way at a best of 9/4, with Chelsea 3/1 and United 6/1. Arsenal remain ahead of United in the betting at 5/1, after they too came from behind but just for a point at West Brom.

Spurs remain sixth in the betting but are out to 14/1 after they fell victims of the weekend's biggest upset, losing 3-0 at home to West Ham. Liverpool made no such mistake against Crystal Palace and are 7/1.
Sunday's results represented welcome respite for Sky Bet, who had seen the best-backed Premier League sides oblige a day earlier.

"It's fair to say both north London clubs failing to win made it a good Sunday for us," said Sky Bet's Sandro Di Michele.

"With Liverpool and both Manchester sides going in on Saturday we were on the back foot but punters were let down by both Arsenal and Tottenham."

"City were probably the most convincing of those in the running for the title given the quality of their opposition but Liverpool continue to impress too and plenty of our customers have clearly warmed to their chances."

As a result of their defeat at Liverpool, Palace are just 1/7 for relegation ahead of Sunderland, who were cut to 10/11 after losing at home to United.

Cardiff are 5/2 chances after they lost at home to Newcastle, while Sky Bet also quote 5/2 about Hull following their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa.

"It's hard not to worry for Palace and it simply looks a case of who will join them in the Championship next season," added Di Michele.

The top-four betting sees Arsenal and United priced 1/2 with Sky Bet, with Liverpool into 11/10 and therefore ahead of 11/8 chances Spurs.
