Manchester United are worried about Sir Alex Ferguson’s latest literary adventure – fearing the dirt could be dished on the Wayne Rooney sagas.

If Ferguson’s 1999 book is anything to go by United should be worried about next month’s release of his new book.

In his last piece of literature Brian Kidd and Gordan Strachan among others were victims of Sir Alex’s direct and honest approach.

Ferguson on Strachan in his 1999 autobiography, ‘Managing My Life’, “I decided this man could not be trusted an inch – I would not want to expose my back to him in a hurry.”

United normally control details involving the club by introducing the rule that any book written by the players has to be run by the club first.

A release this soon after his retirement from United and just two months into the new season could create a headache for United as the pressure is still on for United’s new managerial appointment, David Moyes – a host of questions will surely await the former Everton manager as the contents of Ferguson’s book is revealed.
The rumoured payout for Sir Alex in advance of any sales is set at £2 million.
