Fulham defender Sascha Riether should face action for a challenge on Adnan Januzaj, according to Manchester United team-mate Marouane Fellaini.

Riether appeared to stamp on Januzaj, 18, during United's 3-1 victory over the Cottagers on Saturday.

Analysis

"Sascha Riether is a lucky boy. He's kicked him initially and then stamped on him. It is the only aggression Fulham showed in the game and in the wrong way."

The 30-year-old German was not punished by referee Lee Probert.

"For me it was a red card for the right-back," Fellaini told MUTV, United's television channel. "I hope the referee looks at the video later."
Fellaini confronted Riether after the incident, which both Fulham boss Martin Jol and United counterpart David Moyes missed at the time.

After the game, Jol said: "If it is true, then we have to talk to him.
"I have got some good back-up players as well, so that [a potential ban] is not a disaster. The result is a disaster."

Moyes said of Januzaj: "He is a really honest boy and I thought there were a couple of times when fouls should have been given against him but they weren't."
