Agent of Manchester United man: AC Milan link is an honour

Anders Lindegaard's agent has failed to rule out a switch from Manchester United to Serie A.

Anders Lindegaard was once again on the Manchester United bench last night, but for how much longer?
Speculation is ramping up concering a move, with it claimed AC Milan and Juventus are interested in his services.

His agent has now spoken about the situation, quizzed in Danish newspaper BT.
Michael Stansgaard stated: "It's an honour for the player to be matched with a great club like Milan but there is nothing concrete."


Anders Lindegaard arrived at United in 2010, and has barely put a foot wrong. The problem for him is just months after he signed, the club spent £20 million on David de Gea.
He has proved a more than able deputy, and at one stage looked like a better option while De Gea was adjusting, although the Spaniard has proved capable of more spectacular reflex saves which are often considered past the Dane.

This is the season more than any other at United where he has been further from the first team than ever, at at 29 having committed a sizeable chunk of his career to the club, we would not blame him if he moved on.
Denmark missed out on the world Cup, so there is no World Cup place to fight for to cause him angst, so he can take his time over planning a move.
We don't consider Juventus a good move for him, unless he wants to play second fiddle to Gianluigi Buffon.

Milan he may have more chances, with veteran Christian Abbiati still the preferred choice. Having proved himself dependable, we do not expect Lindegaard to be allowed to go mid-season and cause United more transfer headache in finding a replacement.
However if an attractive offer comes in next summer, and the player expresses an interest in leaving, we would not rule out a departure, seemingly, a bit like his agent.
