Chelsea plotting Martinez move: Chelsea have been in talks over a £30 million move for Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to the Daily Mirror. The paper reports that the Colombia 

international's agent has been to London for discussions with Roman Abramovich's trusted lieutenant Marina Granovskaia, with Porto willing to sell their star man if they are knocked out of the Champions League. The reports adds that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also keen on Martinez's compatriot Radamel Falcao, who remains his top priority.

Paper Round's view: Porto are unlikely to reach the knockout phase of the Champions League - they need to win away at unbeaten Atletico Madrid on the final matchday to do so - and if the club are willing to sell, Martinez has a buy-out clause of 34 million euros. But two things are working against this transfer happening - he will be cup-tied for the remainder of the Champions League campaign, and Chelsea may still snare Falcao from Monaco. Still, it's not too far-fetched to imagine Martinez banging in Premier League goals next year.
