Reds target Baines swap

Manchester United are ready to offer Everton £7million plus Wilfried Zaha for England international Leighton Baines.

Moyes has made Baines one of his top targets ever since swapping Goodison Park for Old Trafford and will step up his attempts to land the left-back in January.

Everton are refusing to sell but Moyes is hopeful he will be able to strike a deal with his former club by throwing talented winger Zaha in as part of the deal.

Moyes has insisted that the £15million buy is in his long-term plans at United, but if he can use him as a bargaining chip to help land Baines, he will happily sell.

Baines is seen as Patrice Evra's long-term successor and Moyes will do all he can to get him on board.
