Moyes could have Belgian trio of midfielders after Dembele admits he’s unhappy at Tottenham

The 26-year-old joined Spurs in a £15 million move from Fulham in 2012 and was a central figure there last season but Tottenham now have no less than seven players who could occupy their two central midfield positions following a flurry of transfers with the money earned from the sale of Bale.
Paulinho, Capoue, Sandro, Holtby, Dembele, Sigurdsson and Eriksen can all play in that position but it isn’t the increased competition that has caused Dembele to be unhappy, it is the style of Andre Villas Boas.
“The coach has explained that he makes a tactical choice, he wants more defensive players in midfield,” Dembele is quoted as saying in The Mirror.
“I can’t be satisfied with it, of course, I just want to play as many games.”
Dembele was seen as the perfect box-to-box midfielder before he moved to Fulham and that opinion won’t have changed but as is always the case with Tottenham, the difficulty would lie in dealing with Daniel Levy.
The Tottenham midfielders’ comments follow Axel Witsel’s admission that he would like to play in the Premier League at a team like Manchester United or Chelsea, so there must be some bubbling talk happening in the Belgium camp away on international duty this week.
With a highly competitive midfield in Belgium comprising of Axel Witsel, Marouane Fellaini, Steven Defour, Kevin de Bruyne and Moussa Dembele, the need for game time ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is a prerogative for Dembele.
Belgian football is all set for what could potentially be it’s best decade or two in football with such an array of talent coming through in the likes of Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Witsel et al. United could get themselves at the forefront of that.
If Moyes made the bold move to try and sign both Witsel and Dembele, our midfield could become a trio of Belgian midfielders and finally bring some real strength in depth to United’s midfield that it has lacked for so long.
Do you think Moussa Dembele would be a good signing for Manchester United?
