Nani admits Old Trafford isn’t what it used to be for him

Back when United knocked Liverpool off their perch with title number 19, we were undefeated at home with an incredible record of 16 wins, one draw and just ten goals conceded by the time we had wrapped the title up.
So far this season, United have won four, drawn two and lost one at Old Trafford this season and Nani wants the fear factor to return for teams having to come there.
“It looks like teams are more confident when they come here to play against us,” he said.
“But I’m sure we will change that because, at the moment, we are playing without all our confidence.
“I think once results start coming we will show who the real Manchester United are and will do much better.”
Nani is right. Teams have come to Old Trafford in recent matches with more gusto than before and it is essential United reignite that fear factor because home form is critical for any successful Premier League title charge.
On an individual level, although he has had a stop-start season Nani was effusive towards both David Moyes and the coaching staff for helping him get back to his very best.
He added: “The manager has been fantastic with me.
“He has been giving me advice and trying to help give me confidence.
“The coaches are trying to get my confidence higher to show all the qualities I have got. They are trying to get me back to my best level.”
A resurgent Nani combined with the return of our home fortress would be fantastic for this season. Our performance against Arsenal suggests that the side is starting to gel together and with Nani, he is only ever one confidence boosting performance away from getting back to his best.
