Barcelona defender Pique can't say Messi deserves Ballon d'Or

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is reluctant to declare Lionel Messi deserves this year's Ballon d'Or.
But he insists his teammate will go down as the greatest in the game.\

"A Messi crisis is not a crisis. The day will come when he can no longer exceed our expectations. For me, with or without a World Cup medal, he is the greatest player in history," said Pique.

Piqué is undecided on who will win the Ballon d'Or: "No one really knows how it is decided. It could be because of trophies or individual performances. If it's on trophies, Ribéry is the favourite. If it's not then Messi has had a great year and Cristiano (Ronaldo) as well. We'll see."
