Arsenal banned the BBC from using their official club shirt in a new drama series which portrayed fans in an uncomplimentary light.

In the BBC series ‘By Any Means’, Arsenal fans are depicted as criminals and are fooled into giving themselves in.
In one scene, Jack Quinn (Warren Brown) says to one of the fans, “You are under arrest for being an Arsenal fan… anything you do say will be ignored.”
When Quinn is asked if the scam was ethical, he says the victims are not criminals, adding, “It’s worse than that, they’re Gooners.”
Arsenal banned production from using official kit after hearing about the storyline – leaving actors wearing a similar design kit without any logos.
A BBC spokesman told The Sun, “Arsenal declined permission to use their branded shirts… so production decided, on advice to use shirts in a similar style instead.”
