Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has rubbished reports that he is unhappy with new manager David Moyes’ methods.

Reports surfaced this week following United’s 1-0 defeat at Anfield against bitter rivals Liverpool that last season’s Premier League top scorer was unhappy with the Scot’s methods.

After scoring two in a 4-1 win against Swansea City on the opening day of the season, Van Persie has failed to find the back of the net, as have the rest of his teammates, in a goalless home draw against Chelsea and Sunday’s defeat at Liverpool.

Despite an indifferent start to the season, the 30-year-old says that he is “happy with Moyes’ style”.
“It’s great working with the new manager David Moyes,” Van Persie told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. “He has his own style and methods and I like them.

“I’m happy with Moyes’ style. He does his own training sessions, he’s close with the players and, with his staff, prepares us very well for the next opponent. That keeps us in shape.
“Luckily, winning the title last year gave us the hunger for more.”
