United in danger of third derby humiliation
The 4-1 defeat away to City on Sunday afternoon was new United manager David Moyes' first experience of the Manchester derby and will be one he would rather forget.
Moyes, only six games into his reign at Old Trafford, has now lost against both of United's fiercest rivals, after having also been beaten 1-0 away to Liverpool in the Premier League.
United do not face City again until Saturday 1 March but have a chance to make amends against Liverpool on Wednesday night, when the Anfield side travel to Manchester in the League Cup.
Moyes will be hoping a win against Liverpool can fire his new side on to a much-needed run of Premier League wins.
United, currently eighth in the table after five league games, host West Bromwich Albion on 28 September before travelling to Sunderland the following weekend.
The Manchester side then host Southampton and Stoke City at Old Trafford before travelling to west London to take on Fulham ahead of what could be a crucial clash against early leaders Arsenal on Sunday 10 November.
