Tottenham cleared to sign Arsenal target in January

Tottenham have been given the go ahead to sign Sochaux full back Sebastien Corchia in January after the defender confirmed he will be leaving the French club, according to the Metro.
Arsenal had previously been credited with an interest in the French under-21 international, although it appears North London rivals Tottenham are in pole position.
Andre Villas-Boas was said to be tracking the Frenchman all summer and was strongly linked with a £5million bid although other transfer business took priority.
Villas-Boas remains keen to return with an offer in January having been encouraged by the 22-year-old’s claims he will be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 side.
“I can leave Sochaux in January – the club have spoken with interested clubs,” Corchia said.
“I prefer to focus on the present at the moment, but leaving in January is a possibility.”
Corchia is regarded as one of the best young players in France having impressed for Sochaux since signing in 2011.
He has the ability to play in both full back positions as well as on the wing, and would provide healthy competition for the likes of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose at White Hart Lane.
Sochaux are said to be willing to listen to offers of £7million for the player, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, Marseille and Lyon.
