Pellegrini under pressure at City

Sources at the club have raised eyebrows over the squad selected to face Mark Hughes' side away on Saturday with Pellegrini seemingly prioritising the upcoming Champions League tie against Victoria Plzen.
Insiders have indicated to SportsDirect News that while the Chilean manager is not in danger of losing his job, questions have been raised about City's rather indifferent start to the season, highlighted by the disappointing result against Stoke.
City are currently fourth in the Premier League after seven points from four games. An uninspiring start for a club widely backed to claim the title at the end of the season.
Pellegrini attempted to put a brave face on the Stoke match in his post-match press conference.
He said: “I don’t think you must expect us to win every match. Of course, we want to, but it is impossible.
“It’s been a difficult week for us. We did not have the players to work with this week, as they were away with their international teams.
“I won’t always be happy when we draw away. But this is a good draw.”
