Eriksen settling in at Spurs
Christian Eriksen has expressed his delight at scoring his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur as he adjusts to his new surroundings following a summer move from Ajax.
Eriksen's goal sealed a 3-0 victory and he is thrilled to have made such a strong start to life at White Hart Lane.
"I'm really happy about it. A goal like that in just my second game is something I can only dream of," he told the club's official website.
"A goal like that is not often something that happens in a game, more often in training! I was happy to see it go in.
"We scored at the most important moments. Jermain's goals in the first half really took the pressure off. That made it easy for us."
Eriksen has been made to feel welcome at Spurs after arriving just before the transfer deadline.
"I'm still in a hotel at the moment - perhaps I should stay there," he joked. "I'm really excited to be here, it's a great club, nice team-mates and everything is going well."
Eriksen hopes Tottenham can push on against Cardiff City on Sunday but is anticipating a difficult game against another team to have strengthened considerably this summer.
He said: "I read all about Cardiff because there is a Danish player there (Andreas Cornelius). Unfortunately he's injured at the moment, but they have a lot of new players and they want to build something to stay in the Premier League, so it's a tough place to play."
