Michel Platini to probe Russian racism
UEFA president Michel Platini has ordered an
immediate internal investigation into the failure to follow rules in
dealing with the alleged racist abuse of Yaya Toure by CSKA Moscow fans.
Under UEFA rules, the referee can stop the match and ask for an announcement warning that the game will be suspended or even abandoned but that didn't happen.
The CSKA disciplinary case will be heard on Wednesday but the Russians have denied any racist abuse and were "surprised and disappointed" by the allegations.
Toure has pressed for a boycott of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
