Former
Eagles star Nwankwo Kanu has urged Coach Stephen Keshi to correct the
mistakes in his squad ahead of next month’s 2014 World Cup play-off
match against Ethiopia at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
The Super Eagles left themselves in the driving seat to earn one of
the five African tickets to next year’s Brazil finals after beating the
Walya Antelopes 2-1 I Addis Ababa.
While praising the African champions, the former Arsenal striker said
it was
important for the team to checkmate the lapses if they must
qualify for the finals in style.
“I have to congratulate (Stephen) Keshi and the team. In the first
half we were not in the game, but in the second half we showed that we
wanted it more.
“Well done to (Emmanuel) Emenike. He was my man of the match. We are
halfway to Brazil. Let’s go home and correct our mistakes and fight more
and God will see us through”, Kanu said.
