Aluko out of Hull trip to Tottenham
Hull
City’s injury crisis has deepened ahead of the trip to Tottenham, with
Sone Aluko now ruled out and Robbie Brady a major doubt.
Aluko has a calf injury and will not
feature. Brady will travel to White Hart Lane but is struggling to start
after he was rushed back to first-team action for the trip to Everton.
The Tigers are already without
first-team regulars Allan McGregor (thigh), Danny Graham (knee) and Jake
Livermore, who is ineligible because of the terms of his Spurs loan
deal. James Chester and Robert Koren remain on the sidelines as they
continue their rehabilitation from injuries earlier in the season.
“I’ve said all along it would be about
how we deal with injuries and we’ve been dealt a few this week,” said
Bruce. “Robbie Brady is still sore and maybe it was a week too early for
him.
“Sone Aluko has got a calf problem.
He’ll miss this week and he’ll be touch and go for Sunderland. We’ve got
six or seven missing so it’s going to be a big call. We’ll have to see
what we’ve got but it’s fair to say the squad will be as threadbare as
we’ve seen it. As we stand today we’re struggling to fill a bench.”
